Event Description

Mosquito Control Treatment in the Town of Phillipsburg – Tuesday night into Wednesday Morning, September 8 and 9, 2015

The Warren County Mosquito Control Commission is planning to perform an area-wide pesticide treatment in the town of Phillipsburg between 11 pm Tuesday night and 4 am Wednesday morning, weather permitting.  This application is in response to high numbers of invasive mosquitoes.

Two small pick-up trucks with mounted sprayers will be used.  The trucks are clearly marked as Mosquito Commission vehicles and will use yellow flashing lights.  The trucks will travel down various streets and alleys south of Route 22, north of Howard Street and west of Warren Street, but may not go down every single street.

While the products used have very low toxicity, in order to minimize exposure residents should remain indoors, close your windows, and turn off your air conditioners during the application time.  Bring pets indoors when possible and bring in or cover pet dishes.

In the case of bad weather (low temperatures, rain, fog, or high winds) the treatment will be rescheduled for another time.

For more information call the Commission office at (908) 453-3585 M-F from 8am-4pam or visit the commission website at www.warrencountymosquito.org
