PUBLIC NOTICE

PURPOSE: The Town of Phillipsburg is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program and/or the State of New Jersey Urban Parks Program for  improvements and upgrades to existing parklands such as Brainard Street Playground, Mercer Street Playground, Shappell Park, Walters Park, Delaware Heights Park, Madison Field, Pickford Field, Green Street Playground and/or acquisitions new parklands located throughout the Town of Phillipsburg including, but not limited to, various former railbeds for the purposes of converting the same to rail trails

PROJECT SCOPE: The Town of Phillipsburg will hold a public hearing for the purposes of visioning and scoping the aforementioned projects as enumerated above subject to public input and available funding.

PUBLIC HEARING INFORMATION: The public is encouraged to attend the public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024, at 7:00 p.m.  The meeting will be held via Zoom:
